My Dearest Child

My dearest child, were is the time going

You have been gone for two years now

I miss you as much now as I did then

If not more then ever my child

I wish time could stand still

Better yet that it could return

to a time

When life was peaceful and simple

To a time when you were happy

There was a time when you smiled

And your eyes shined brightly

You had not a worry in this world

You were eager to learn all that you could

When did life change for you my child

Was it when the world failed you

When the world turned its back on you

Did you feel alone and no where to turn

Did you give up hope my child

Was it that you saw your life as over

Feeling there was no hope for the future

No chance for your dreams to come true

Why is it my child that the world

Failed to see what they would loose

A wonderful, loving young man

Full of compassion and kindness

When you left that day my child

You left behind so many who cared for you

Loved you and knew the person you were

Did you think no one would miss you

You were wrong my child, so wrong

There are so many who cared

Who miss you and wish you were here

You were important my child

No one can ever feel the emptiness

Your absence has left behind

No one can fill that void in our lifes

My child, my child, I love you so…

Gone to soon

Your home here on earth

Was not meant to be forever

But yet I thought that you

Would be here for awhile

 I thought we had 
more time

As you were so very 
young

The time we had was
 good but

I thought we would 
have more

Had I known your
 time was short

That you would leave 
so soon

I would have counted 
the seconds

And made sure not 
one was lost

Now that you have
 gone on

To your Eternal home
 with God

Know that I will be 
with you

Just as soon as my
 time is done

Until we meet again
 in His kingdom

Know you are always 
in my thoughts

Missing you will never
 fade away

Michael’s Journey

Michael‘s journey in this world was not an easy one

But yet I have never known of anyone who was as brave or who gave as much as
Michael and asked for nothing in return

Michael truly loved with all that was in his
 heart and soul

There was never a point of wondering if Michael would succeed

As only God can measure the true worth of any one

Michael’s contributions can not be measured by ordinary means

It was not one of monetary value or measured by career success

I know that Michael’s gifts were not taught in any classroom

The gifts that Michael had came from deep

With in his heart and soul

They were not gifts that could be learned

but given to him from birth from one far greater
than any one of us

Michael gave these gifts freely and without question

As to who would receive these gifts, anyone and everyone

who needed comfort, compassion, understanding and someone to care

Michael was so wise for one so young

Why is it that he gave so much and never asked
for anything,

 So much love to share with every one and

so much pain deep inside of his heart

Michael had so many gifts, but yet there was
one that he desired

That was far from within his reach

So many of us have this gift and take it for granted

It is not a gift that we would think of as important,

that is unless we did not have it

 I have never known one to journey as Michael did

His warm heart and great smile shown through
most everyday

Michael’s laughter was contagious, his sense of
humor great

No one would have known Michael hurt
so deeply and so much

Michael’s spirit was broken

There was only One who could heal his broken heart

Michael’s journey led him to his Eternal home

Now he is with Jesus, just as God has promised us

At the end of our journey here, we are free to go home to Him

and know that our journey here was only the beginning

 Our journey with Him has only just begun

 And so with this in mind, I will not say goodbye my sweet child

I will remember your love for all of us

and this will carry me through

No one can take away my years of memories

You will be forever with me, your laughter fills my heart with joy

Your smile fills my everyday with sunshine

I will go on with this journey, knowing that at the end

I will be with you again, in God’s Kingdom

for eternity…
